Jedi symbol

This section is comprised of Jedi from the Jedi Order during the time of the Galactic Republic.

Section I: Jedi is one of the Founding Sections of the UPC, and one of the Original Sections which is how it came to be Section 1. It has been headed by Yoda since its creation. Mace Windu has also been vice president since the beginning, and has been mostly acting as president as Yoda fulfills his duties as UPC President. Ki-Adi-Mundi was the first secretary, but he was taken out on the Reform Vote. Plo Koon filled his place, and has been secretary since, even when Ki-Adi-Mundi was added to the UPC again. Obi-Wan has remained as treasurer throughout, and when the office of presidency assistant was made, Shaak Ti took the role and has kept it since. This section started out with 10 members, a mandatory template for all reform. Three males from the Jedi High Council, three females from the Council, a male master and apprentice, and a female master and apprentice. The original members were: Yoda, Mace Windu, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Depa Billaba, Yaddle, Adi Gallia, Obi-Wan Kenobi,

Anakin Skywalker, Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee. During the reform, Ki-Adi-Mundi was replaced by Plo Koon, and Depa Billaba by Shaak Ti. This is when the office of presidency assistant came into the UPC, and Shaak Ti took that position.

Later on, it was decided that more Jedi should be added. The mandatory template was forgotten, and more jedi were added. Ki-Adi-Mundi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Aayla Secura, and Kit Fisto were some of the first. The rest comprised of Depa Billaba, Yarael Poof, Quinlan Vos, Eeth Koth, Agen Kolar, Ahsoka Tano, Saesee Tiin, Stass Allie, Even Piell, Jocasta Nu, Cin Drallig, Nichos Aplina, Keni Sten, and Oppo Rancisis. Tahl was added later on, mostly because of what her extensive knowledge could contribute to the Historians Council, which was still in the making. Tyvokka was a recent addition. After the numerous additions of Jedi to this section, Bultar Swan was appointed Backup, and Zett Jukassa as Assistant Backup. However, they were recently removed and replaced with Jedi Master Coleman Trebor as Backup, and Jedi Knight Roth-Del Masona as Assistant Backup. Jedi Masters Annon Bondara and An'ya Kuro were also considered for those positions.

When the UPC Special Operations Brigade was created, they chose many people to be in it, including Jedi from this section. Those Jedi were later asked to resign from their positions in the UPC to spend more time in the Special Operations Brigade. Jedi Aayla Secura and Tyvokka were the only ones (so far) to be removed from the UPC due to the SOB.

In 2012, Jedi Master Nichos Aplina and his padawan, Keni Sten, both members of this Section, were killed by Savage Opress, the first and only members to die.

Recently, in the absence of Secura, Tyvokka, Aplina, and Sten, more Jedi were added to this Section. They were Djinn Altis and Lanius Qel-Bertuk, added mostly for representation, Djinn Altis for the Altisian Jedi (a rogue group of Jedi that is part of the Jedi Order but not obedient to the High Council) and Lanius Qel-Bertuk for the Almas Academy.

During The Great Transformation much of this changed. The section merged with the New Jedi Order, and the Last of the Jedi. Luke Skywalker was added as Vice President, moving Mace Windu to Secretary and Plo Koon to Treasurer. Mara Jade was added as Presidency assistant.

UPC ArmyEdit

This section contributes mainly to the Jedi Army, some to the SW Pilots Army, and only one Jedi to the Galactic Republic Army. The official weapon of this section is the lightsaber.
