Fang Zar is the treasurer of Section II: Galactic Republic: Senate. He is serving as a representative from his section in the UPC House of Reps, but was not elected to its presidency. He is also serving in the UPC Supreme Court as a Justice, but was once again not elected to the presidency of it.

Fang Zar is a senator in the Galactic Senate from the planet Sern Prime. He was a member of the Delegation of the 2000 with senators Padme Amidala and Bail Organa, as he was very opposed to Palpatine's use of his power.
