Depa Billaba is a member of Section I: Jedi. She is one of the original members. However, during a revote, she was removed and replaced with Shaak Ti. When more members were being added (or re-added) to the Jedi Section, she was included in the additions.

Depa Billaba is a Master in the Jedi Order, and is a former member of the Jedi High Council, but stepped down to allow other Jedi to have a chance to govern the Order. Her primary weapon is a blue-bladed lightsaber. She holds the rank of Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic, and was trained by Jedi Master Mace Windu. Billaba is currently serving in the Clone Wars. She is also a leading member of the Skilled Swordsman. Billaba is the mentor to the Elven Lord Daethdr in the area of lightsaber combat.

Depa Billaba currently holds the rank of Colonel in the Jedi Army. Billaba works directly under Chief Lieutenant Luminara Unduli, co-works with Chief Colonel Stass Allie, and is the direct commanding officer of Sergeants Soara Antanna and Ajin Lilian.
